Survivors of Suicide Services

Mental Health Urgent Care is located at 871 Enborg Court, in the southeast corner of the same building that houses Emergency Psychiatric Services (EPS). (408) 225-7855.  Mental Health Urgent Care is a walk-in outpatient clinic, providing screening, assessment, crisis intervention, referral and short-term treatment (up to 60 days) to voluntary mentally ill.

It provides a safe and anonymous place for teens to get information and support from other teens. National Strategy for Suicide Prevention: “The National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (National Strategy or NSSP) is designed to be a catalyst for social change with the power to transform attitudes, policies, and services. Representing the combined work of advocates, clinicians, researchers and survivors, the National Strategy lays out a framework for action and guides development of an array of services and programs yet to be set in motion. It strives to promote and provide direction to efforts to modify the social infrastructure in ways that will affect the most basic attitudes about suicide and its prevention, and that will also change judicial, educational, and health care systems. The State of Oregon has completed its own targeted Suicide Prevention Plan aimed at reducing the number of youths who die by suicide. This plan identifies15 strategies that emphasize three key prevention approaches: community education, integration of systems serving high risk youth, and access to full range of health care that includes mental health and alcohol and drug treatment services.
