ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
All too often, services adolescents receive depend on which symptom surfaces most emphatically and that symptom gets attention, e.g., drug overdose, mental health concerns or school dropout. This conference will focus on a developmental model of adolescents, viewing them as a whole person, and incorporate some of the latest research that supports best practices in the field of adolescent treatment. Additional goals of this conference are to promote greater collaboration of programs and across agencies/disciplines, identify strength-based assessment tools to help service providers, and find more client-sensitive ways to deliver services that include the entire family to achieve healthy outcomes.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
* To increase knowledge about the ecodevelopmental model of adolescent growth and development.
* To interact with successful research-based programs that best support development of healthy adolescents.
*To learn about tools to assess teens and skills to build collaborative relationships.
* To promote critical thinking among caregivers in providing services that support the whole family.
